In what is arguably the most hated “musical” instrument on earth, the vuvuzela has been a top news maker since the World Cup kicked off in South Africa, but three enterprising German musicians wondered how the plastic wind instrument would fare in a more classical setting.

In a video that’s quickly gaining traction on YouTube, Uwe, Stephan and Helge from the Konzerthaus Orchestra of Berlin explain the mechanics of playing a vuvuzela, then proceed to play Brahms “Symphony #1″ (1:10) and later Ravel’s “Bolero” (2:10).
