Microsoft Pokes Fun At Ridiculous Smartphone Habits in New Ad

As Microsoft ramps up the advertising campaign for their newly-announced Windows Phone 7, they’ve debuted a new TV spot that’s garnering huge positive buzz online from the tech community and beyond.

“My first impression was ‘fantastic, finally an ad Microsoft should be proud of,’” writes Zee at technology blog The Next Web. Microsoft unveiled the new Windows Phone 7 with the option of 10 different phones, offering buyers plenty of choice.

“It’s refreshing to see a campaign that isn’t focused on keeping us sucked into the awesome and magic of the smartphone,” writes Christina Warren from Mashable. Rather than the phone being the center of your life, your life is the center of the phone. The phone is able to be there when it is needed, but it also lets you live your life and focus on actual connections in the meantime.”
