Some of Hollywood’s biggest names are banding together Wednesday, December 1 for World AIDS Day in a consolidated effort to raise at least $1 million dollars through social media.

The celebrities will be making the ultimate sacrifice by signing off of Twitter and Facebook and abandoning their collective 30 million online fans until the goal is reached to buy their digital lives back.

Ryan will join Lady Gaga, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, Swizz Beatz, the cast of MTV’s “The Buried Life”, socialite Daphne Guinness, singer Janelle Monae, “Twilight”‘s Bronson Pelletier, and singer Kimberly Cole.

To help in the revival of these stars, please text “SEACREST” to 90999 to donate $10 or visit BuyLife.org.

The “… Is Dead” campaign is run by the Keep A Child Alive organization, led by celebrity ambassador Alicia Keys. So what will Keep A Child Alive do with $1 million you ask?

• $1 million will provide their clinic in Uganda with everything they need to care for more than 7,000 people living with HIV/AIDS for an entire year.

• $1 million will run their child rescue program in South Africa for the next 3 years, bringing justice to hundreds of children victimized by rape, and protecting thousands more.

• $1 million will provide a year’s supply of medicine, food, care and support to 1500 children in South Africa, orphaned by AIDS or living in child-headed households.

• $1 million will expand the programs at their safe-house project in India to more than 1,000 people, helping them regain their health and overcome the stigma of living with HIV/AIDS for 5 years.
