A young Australian man tied the knot with his Labrador of five years Tuesday.

There were 30 close friends and family in attendance for the less-than-normal ceremony that took place in a park the couple frequented.

“You’re my best friend and you make every part of my day better,” Joseph Guiso’s vows read.

Guiso asked for his adopted Labrador Honey’s hand paw in marriage during a walk one day. When she didn’t respond, he took it as a yes.

“It’s not sexual,” Guiso told onlookers during the wedding. “It’s just pure love.”
