Katy Perry Goes Country with Stripped Down Version of “Firework” [VIDEO]
The influence of powerhouse artists coming out of Nashville is evident in Katy Perry‘s performance of her latest single “Firework” on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” Wednesday. The famously bubbly singer stripped down the third single from her current album Teenage Dream and added a country flair for a beautiful rendition of the song she calls her “favorite on the record.”
Perry recently became the first female artist in 11 years to have three straight singles from an album hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The last artist to do it was Monica with “The Boy Is Mine,” “The First Night” and “Angel of Mine” between June 1998 and February 1999.
