David Schwimmer’s New Film Provides Insight Into Dangers of Online Predators [AUDIO]
David Schwimmer phoned in Thursday to chat on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” about his new film “Trust,” which he took to the director’s chair as producer and director, and revealed with us his opinions on the film’s frightening yet ever-present topic of online predators.
Schwimmer describes the film which stars Clive Owen, Catherine Keener and newbie Liana Liberato, as revolving around the plot of a 14 year-old girl, Annie (Liana Liberato), who “is targeted by an online predator and assaulted by him.”
As for how David interpretated the plot and the data which he acquired from producing the film, he reveals, “I’m actually expecting in less than 2 months with my wife, so it certainly has even more resonance now…I think I’m going to do what I see great parents do everywhere in the country-is be very present and let their kids know they can come to them with everything.”
As for the two most important things Schwimmer’s gained from the film and has to offer: “don’t put anything on the internet like photos or videos without knowing they might be seen by everyone in the world…and it’s really just like how to behave-don’t say to someone online what you wouldn’t have the courage to say to someone’s face.”
To hear more from David, listen to the full interview above and be sure to catch “Trust” in theaters now.
