The Miami Heat will face off against the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals, and to promote the much-anticipated best-of-seven series, the league called up YouTube sensation Karmin.
The singing duo’s original song “Take It Away” is used in the 30-second promo video for the series, which marks the second finals appearance for each team, having faced each other in the 2006 finals. The Heat won the series, 4-2.
Karmin, who rose to internet super stardom with their cover of Chris Brown‘s “Look At Me Now,” has also recently signed a major record deal, following dozens of meetings with labels who are more and more interested in signing YouTube musicians.

“[We] couldn’t have done this without you!” wrote the duo on their Twitter account. Following the massive success of their videos, the group was invited to join the DigiTour — a concert tour featuring YouTube’s most talented singers and musicians.
