Recent rumors have been surfacing that Britney Spears and Lady Gaga will be collaborating on a new single or possibly a full length album. The rumor started after Jay-Z and Kanye West’s album ‘Watch The Throne’ dropped. The rumored name of the album is jokingly being referred to as ‘Pop The Throne’; however, the Spears Gaga collaboration is just a rumor.

How amazing would a duet between Spears and Gaga be; two of the most extravagant and talented pop artists today. Although Spears and Gaga are not set to collaborate, we do know that there will be a Britney Tribute at next weekend’s MTV VMAs, and Gaga is reportedly performing in the epic mash-up.

Alongside Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj will be performing in the Britney Tribute. The Britney Tribute is for her Lifetime Achievement Award which is an amazing honor at only 29 years old.
