Several songs made by Lady Gaga,Katy Perry and the BackStreet Boys have been ordered to be taken off of music download websites in China.

Yahoo! News is reporting China’s Ministry of Culture has threatened to take action against websites in the country that allow certain songs to be downloaded. The songs include, “Judas”  by megastar Lady Gaga, as well as Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night” and the BackStreets Boys 1999 hit “I Want It That Way.”

The above mentioned songs were never submitted to the ministry for a mandatory government screening, which is required by law in China for all imported entertainment.  The rule is meant to preserve China’s “national cultural security” according to a statement released by the ministry.

KATY PERRY’S “LAST FRIDAY NIGHT” GETS AMAZING VIOLIN COVER

Sites have until September 15th to abide by the order, the ministry says violators will be punished.
