Tonight, Simon Cowell launches that other singing competition with the premiere of “The X-Factor” on FOX. Everybody knows that despite all the clashing and insults tossed back and forth with Paula Abdul on Idol he invited her to be a fellow “X Factor” judge because he loves her.
