Jimmy Kimmel Says ‘Like Most Teenage Girls’ He Is A Fan Of ‘Twilight’ [AUDIO]
Jimmy Kimmel called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to talk about the L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Charity Event, hosting The White House Correspondents Dinner, and being at the “Twilight” Handprint Ceremony at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Jimmy was on hand yesterday to introduce “Twilight” stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner before they left their hand and foot prints in cement outside the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. “I was there. I tried to put my hands and feet in the cement too, but they wouldn’t let me,” Jimmy tells us. “Like most teenage girls” he is a fan of the “Twilight” franchise.
Jimmy will have the honor of entertaining the crowd at The White House Correspondents Dinner in April. “It will almost certainly be a disaster. Because the people that want you to be hard core will be disappointed you’re not, and the people who want you to be nice will feel you were too harsh. I’m just hoping my parents enjoy it.” He adds, “It’s terrifying really, the whole thing. but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.”
This weekend Jimmy will host the L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade. “That is a great charity event. A young girl named Alex started it to fight cancer, she had cancer and started it to help other kids. It’s a lot of fun,” Jimmy explains. The event will bring together some of the greatest chefs in the world Suzanne Goin (AOC, Lucques, Tavern) and David Lentz (The Hungry Cat) and Neil Patrick Harris will be there as an honorary host. “If you love food, this is the place to be,” Jimmy says.
L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade will be taking place this Sunday from 12pm to 4pm, 9336 Washington Blvd., at Ince Blvd., Culver City (310-842-8066). Tickets ($175-$25,000) online at alexslemonade.org.
