Selena Gomez Makes Surprise Visit To Terminally Sick Fan At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles [AUDIO]
“On Air With Ryan Seacrest” has made miracles come true for families in need that deserve a little extra love this holiday season for KIISmas Giving. Earlier this week Sara from Los Angeles, a tutor for a 13-year-old girl named Hana, wrote an endearing letter about Hana’s fatally genetic disease called progeria that dramatically accelerates aging in children 8 to 10 times faster than normal. In an email to Ryan, she describes that it’s a “race against time” for her, as the average life span of this disease, which only 10 people in the US have, is just 13-years-old. Hana just recently turned 13, and being treated at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Sara also revealed that Hana’s dreams would come true if she were able to speak to her favorite singer Selena Gomez. Ryan was not only able to give both Hana and her brother Howard two Kindles and the mother Kyung $1,000 cash to spend on her family, but also get a hold of the singer who keeps Hana strong throughout her struggles, Selena Gomez.

Later that day Ryan Seacrest reached out Selena to ask if she was able to fulfill Hana’s wish to meet her. Ryan says, “Selena is one of the most generous people I have ever met in my life. She was recording her album here in Los Angeles, and she was heading to the airport to fly up North for a concert. I told Selena Hana’s story, and she stopped recording her album in the studio, and went to meet Hana in the hospital, then flew to her concert.”

Hana’s tutor Sara gave Ryan the details: “Selena came and we are still in disbelief. We’re still floating on cloud nine. Hana didn’t know anything. We surprised her. Selena comes in and says, ‘Hi Hanna! How are you?’” The entire time her favorite singer was there, Hana couldn’t help but to sit in disbelief as she was in “utter shock.” The moment she left, Hana started to cry: “I can’t believe it. I had so much to say, but I didn’t want to cry in front of her because I didn’t want to look like a baby.’” Thanks to Selena, she made a 13-year-old’s dream come true. Sara described that it was “the best Christmas ever.”
