Aren’t the Holidays just the greatest? Not only will you be receiving gifts from family members and friends, getting time off work for the celebration and a much needed vacation, but you’re also supplied with an opportunity to not only tip that glass back–but spruce it up a bit as well!
Whether you’re hosting a holiday party of your own, or just need/feel like a drink, consider these holiday martini recipes to add a little more season to your sauce, and remember to celebrate responsibly.
5. The Grinch:
You know the one! Mix up this drink for the friend or family member (or yourself) who may be displaying his/her inner mean green instead of embracing the holiday season. Not only will this drink’s name lighten the mood of his/her grumpiness, but it may even equip them with a slight smile after one or two glasses!
2 oz. Midori melon liqueur
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon of sugar syrup (to make, melt sugar and water over low heat)
Using a large shaker, mix all ingredients with ice and shake well. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with a cherry.
4. The Poinsettia
Although you all may be familiar with the popular ornamental plant I’d bet you haven’t had the beverage which is delicious for any merry gathering.
5 ounce Cointreau
1/2 Fill Champagne
1/2 Fill Cranberry Juice
Combine the vodka, Champagne and juice in a large-stemmed red wine glass. Add crushed ice and stir until the mixture is well chilled. Twist the orange strips over the glass, drop them in, and serve.
3. Christmas Cosmopolitan
Channel your inner Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charloette and add this holiday twist to the familiar Cosmo.
1/2 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce Cranberry Juice
1 Teaspoon Fresh Lime Juice Fresh
1 ounce Vodka
Frozen Cranberries
Mix cointreau, cranberry juice, lime juice, and vodka into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with a couple frozen cranberries to float on top!
2. Peppermint Stick
Not only is this martini a true holiday taste, it’ll look adorable as well!
3 ounces of White Chocolate Liqueur
1 ounces of heavy cream
1 ounces of peppermint schnapps
small candy canes
large candy canes
Crush up the 2 large candy canes into tiny crumbs, dip the rim of your martini glass into water and then into the crushed candy canes to get them to stick around the rim! Set aside, and mix white chocolate liqueur, cream, and peppermint schnapps over ice in a shaker. Shake and pour into martini glass. Add the smaller candy canes to each glass for even festive flare.
1. Christmas Champtini

2 1/2 ounces Chambord
Champagne
Raspberries for garnish
Pour chambord into a martini glass, and add champagne to top off. Complete with a few raspberries for that extra little holiday detail.
