Country legend Dolly Parton stopped by the “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” studio on Wednesday to chat about her new movie “Joyful Noise,” rap about co-star Queen Latifah, and tells us about her shopping habits.

Everyone knows Dolly is a country singer, but you may not know that she can rap too! She honed her rapping skills on her recent “Better Day” tour and treated us to her version of a rap she did about her “Joyful Noise” co-star Queen Latifah.

“Queen Latifah she da Queen of hip hop rap and the movie screen/Oh she da Queen of her own hood but I’m the Queen of Dollywood/I don’t hip I don’t hop I’d black both eyes with this big top/I know the Queen has got ‘em too but she don’t work ‘em like I do.” [Skip to 6:10]

When Dolly is not busy making music, movies, or touring she tells us that she loves to go to the grocery store. “My husband and I go at midnight or one o’clock in the morning. I love to see what they will have, so I am often doing that. Not often, often, but 2 or 3 times a year I’ll go,” she says.

Dolly tells us that she hasn’t done a movie in 20 years, but she jumped at the chance to work with Queen Latifah. “I loved working with her, she is the Queen. She is great, she did a great job in this and we had a lot of fun doing it,” she tells us. You can see Dolly on the big screen when “Joyful Noise” hits theaters on January 13th.
