Adele Looks Stunning In Vogue Magazine Photo Shoot [PHOTOS]
Adele swept the Grammy Awards last night, taking home 6 trophies including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. It’s an incredible feat, especially when you consider what the British star has been through in the last 12 months. The songstress spoke with Vogue at the end of 2011 right after she was nominated, and she took the time to pose for some insanely stunning photos, too.
Right as the world was waking up to the genius of her music, the 23-year-old had to cancel the remainder of her tour and undergo major vocal cord surgery. When she realized she would have to stop singing for a bit, she explains: “obviously I cried a lot. But crying is really bad for your vocal cords, too!” At the time of the interview, Adele was just starting to hum again in order to build up her famous voice. She talks about the careful steps she took towards recovery, which all paid off because she rocked the Grammy’s last night with her mega-hit “Rolling In The Deep.”
The interview gives us a peek into Adele’s experiences with men and her aspirations for the future, which include “planting a garden” sometime soon and never being an actress. The photos of this singing superstar, taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, truly capture her personality– both her bubbly, cheerful side and her vulnerable, heart-broken side.
