Whitney Houston’s sudden passing on the eve of the Grammys this weekend saddened us all, and the impact she made on the entire planet was quickly evident on Twitter. In the first hour after the story broke, over 2.5 million tweets were recorded regarding her death. That’s over 1,000 tweets a second, with over 61,000 tweets in one particular minute alone.
