Justin Bieber may not have been on the Oscar red carpet last night but he still managed to show up to the Academy Awards. This year’s award show was hosted by actor Billy Crystal who kicked off the show by opening with a hilarious movie-spoof montage.

The pop star showed up in the montage during the “Midnight in Paris” spoof and said to Billy, “I’m here to get you the 18 to 24 demographic.” As the two of them stared at one another Bieber asked “So how long do you want me to sit here for?”

The appearance may not have been more than an minute but it still got people talking and the younger generation tuned in.

After the Awards show Justin Bieber tweeted, “and a BIG SHOUTOUT to Billy Crystal. Thanks for letting me be a part of the show and you killed it tonight. #muchlove”
