We’ve all seen touching videos of families welcoming soldiers home who have returned from deployment. The joy, hugs and excitement family members share in the videos tug at your heart strings. But what we don’t see much is an animal’s joy for seeing his owner return.

In a touching video that has gone viral this week, a U.S. Army soldier returns home after being deployed for 8 months. His boxer, named Chuck, patiently waits in the back of a truck to see him. As soon as the owner is spotted, without hesitating, Chuck jumps out of the truck and races over to greet his beloved owner. The soldier can barely wrap his arms around the dog to hug him with Chuck jumping all over him in excitement.

With over one million views and counting it proves that everyone loves a happy homecoming.
