Kate Winslet Rocks The Titanic 3D Red Carpet [PHOTOS]
It looks like one of our favorite blockbusters is back, and this time it’s in 3D! The stars of the ’97 hit film arrived in London, England for the premiere of the new “technologically enhanced” “Titanic.”
Tuesday’s Red Carpet premiere at Royal Albert Hall consisted of big names like Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Bill Paxton and Edith Bowman…but something was missing in this picture-perfect event. That’s right, the heavenly heartthrob, Leonardo DiCaprio! The 37-year-old was, in fact, busy shooting Quentin Tarantino‘s latest drama “Django Unchained,” which also casts Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Foxx.
There is no doubt that the King of the World was truly missed at the premiere of the film that brought him to his super stardom today.
According to E! News, director James Cameron recalled DiCaprio and Winslet as “brother and sister” from over 15 years ago. “I think of them as Kate and Leo, and I think of Jack and Rose as two people who exist separately. I think it’s almost more so that way now,” he said. “Jack and Rose are now the eternal young lovers.”
Now, what were the onscreen lovebirds reactions to the 3D snippets? Cameron showed DiCaprio 18 minutes of the 3D version back in December 2011 and recalled him “sort of crawling under the seat saying, ‘Who is that guy?!’” As for the beautiful Winslet, her reaction to the younger version of herself was quite the priceless one. “I think I look better 15 years later,” Winslet said. “I like the way I’m aging. It’s nice. I don’t have any secrets. I just try to have a positive attitude.”
