Victoria Beckham Looks Stunning For Harper’s Bazaar [PHOTOS]
Dolled up to portray a 1950’s feel of old Hollywood, Victoria Beckham looks like royalty in the cover for the UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine for the May 2012 issue.
Camilla Akrans captured the former Spice Girls member in vintage swimsuits in a Los Angeles photo shoot. In the interview, Victoria shares intimate details about her life with the magazine.
About representing the average woman:
“We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and then I say ‘OK, I’m going to put it on. I stand for the general public here.’ It’s how I work. I found it really difficult when I was pregnant and I couldn’t do that. It’s part of the process – I’ll stand here in my knickers and start draping fabric over myself. It was very hard when I didn’t have my body.”
About winning Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards:
“I came offstage and said, ‘I cried three times, I didn’t thank the people I wanted to thank, I was really rubbish.’ But I think people saw the real me…and the truth is, I would have felt much more comfortable in my pajamas with the kids and David in a hotel watching it on TV.”
About self-image and family:
“Maybe my tummy isn’t as tight as it used to be, but I’ve got four amazing kids, and that’s what really matters.” When asked about going to bed with her husband she said, “Of course getting into bed with David Beckham every night after having four kids, you know…but I’ve come to the conclusion that David is getting older as well. I’m not trying to fight it.”
