Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Maxwell Drew Johnson. Baby Maxwell Drew’s middle name was named after Jessica’s mother’s maiden name. “I really hope I can be half as good of a mom as my mom has been to me,” Jessica says. The couple revealed Maxwell weighed in at a whopping 9lbs and 13oz! After dating for six months, Jessica, 31, and Eric, 32, got engaged back in November 2010. According to US Magazine, the two have put aside wedding plans until their baby’s arrival. During her March appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Jessica opened up explaining that Eric “feels like my husband already.”

I’m getting frightened.” While Katy Perry expressed concern: “Has Jessica Simpson had that baby yet?! I’m getting anxious. Well, Chelsea and Katy, as of today, the answer is YES and YES!

It’s been 7 months since Simpson shared the pregnancy news when she tweeted a simple photo. The picture featured the starlet all dressed up as a mummy for Halloween with a caption: “It’s true! I am going to be a mummy!”
