‘American Idol’ Final Two Revealed [VIDEOS]
Joshua then joined Ryan Seacrest front and center to look back on his performances the night before. “American Idol” mentor Jimmy Lovine said he was “the most excited showman we have in the competition.” After covering Etta James, John Lennon, and Mary J. Blige, Jimmy thought, “he deserved to be in anyone’s finale.”
For the first time ever, Lisa Marie Presley then took to the stage to perform her new single, “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.”
It was then Jessica’s turn in the spotlight as the audience looked back at her performances. Evident from her song choices including two from Mariah Carey and one from Aerosmith, Jessica went big and delivered. Steven Tyler predicted she would win the whole competition while Jimmy said she is worthy of performing at the Grammys.
Season eight runner-up Adam Lambert returned to the stage that made him a star to perform his new single off his album, Trespassing. Dressed to impress including bright yellow earrings, Adam got the crowd on their feet with his new single “Never Close Our Eyes.”
Last but certainly not least, Phillip joined Ryan to recap his performances from Wednesday night. His final performance from Bob Segar was hailed as the best performance of the night, which luckily made up for the disappointing rendition of Matchbox 20’s “Disease.”
After 90 million votes, Ryan delivered the final results that Jessica and Phillip would be competing for top prize next week in the season 11 finale from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
