Paris Jackson Opens Up About Wearing Mask As a Child [VIDEO]
Paris Jackson, 14-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson (with ex-wife Deborah Rowe) and aspiring actress, opened up to Oprah Winfrey recently about her father’s death and what it was like growing up as the daughter of the King of Pop.
In the interview for Oprah’s new show on OWN, “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” Paris talks about being the middle child and what life has been like since her father’s death three years ago. In one of her most in-depth interviews, Paris really opens up about her childhood and why Michael sheltered them so much. She tells Oprah that one of her favorites places to go growing up was Chuck E. Cheese and talks about becoming an actress.
On Wearing A Mask Growing Up:
“I was really confused. I didn’t get why I was wearing a mask. I understand it now. My dad wanted us to be covered [because] he wanted us to have a childhood.”
She said she wants to look to the positive and really focus on moving forward. Paris will be in the upcoming film, “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three King’s” as the lead, Lundon O’Malley. Paris’s interview will be aired on Oprah’s Next Chapter on Sunday, June 10 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT). Checkout a clip from the interview below.
