Katy Perry Doesn’t ‘Need the Prince Charming for My Happy Ending!’ [AUDIO]
On Punching Prince Charming In ‘Wide Awake’
“The movie is a story about overcoming obstacles no matter what shape they come in. No matter if it’s where you came from or your work or your personal situation. For me, it’s like a modern day fairytale, but I just don’t need the Prince Charming for my happy ending!”
Do You Still Believe In The Fairytale Love Story?
“I believe in reality. I still believe in love, and I’ll let it take me wherever it wants to take me. I’m just along for the ride!”
How Do You Keep Going Through The Tough Times?
“You got to be a grown up, as boring as that sounds, and slap yourself across the face and separate your personal from your professional. I literally flip a switch on my dress that my peppermint starts spinning and then I flip a switch on my face and have to smile.”
What Do You Have Planned Next?
“There’s certain times for everything. Of course, last year was really intense because I had to go on that tour. This year after the movie is finished I’m just going to figure out what that feeling of being bored actually means. I’m going to not plan anything. I want to do these things that my friends call ‘Coin Flip Trips.’ Where I close my eyes and put my finger on a globe and I spin it. Then I open my eyes and we go there!”
