The viral sensation that is the Funky Fresh Senior Choir recently gained popularity on the Inter-webs because of a YouTube video titled, “Worst Choir ever?” Now if you ask us, we think that title is kind of harsh. These seniors aren’t horrible singers, they’re just misunderstood. The type of music they want to cover isn’t typical material for choir singers their age—or really choir singers in general—but they make it work.

In the video you’ll see the seniors rap and sing to well-known songs such as Eminem’s “Lose Yourself,” Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty,” and OutKast’s “Hey Ya.”

Before covering Nelly’s “Hot In Here,” you can see one of the ladies on the left clasp her hands in anticipation. The song also includes a choreographed dance routine and updated lyrics: “It’s getting hot in here, so take off all your robes…” Whoa, careful guys—you don’t want to get too crazy!

This compilation of songs appears to be an audition tape for a competition, as indicated at the end of the video. Though the group says they are available to book for weddings, private parties, and bar mitzvahs, their listed website appears to be down. (Yes, we checked.)
