USA’s National Anthem is not something to be taken lightly. So when big celebrities mess up, it’s quite embarrassing! It’s like a train wreck happening in slow motion—you want to look away but you just can’t. We definitely feel for these celebs and understand that these big events can make a person nervous. Hey, at least they sounded great!

Up next is Christina Aguilera‘s flub at the Superbowl XLV last year. While we all know this diva can sing, it seems that her mind went elsewhere for just a moment in the performance as she stumbled on a verse.

Another comes from R&B songstress, Keri Hilson. She was quick to correct herself during a 2010 Lakers vs. Hawks game, when she messed up the order of the verses.

First up is Jesse McCartney. This pop star forgot a few lines at a 2009 Nascar event and was noticed by not only the participating drivers, but also CNN.

This celeb mess-up comes from an 80s lady, Cyndi Lauper. While performing at a September 11^th memorial at the U.S. Open Finals, she made up some lines as she went on with the song.

We must admit, this screw up is a little funny; even Michael Bolton laughed at himself as he looked to his hand for the lyrics mid-song. This slip up happened during a Boston Red Sox game in 2003.
