Celebrity Trainer Gunnar Peterson Talks About The Healthy Way To Lose Weight [AUDIO]
Hollywood personal trainer Gunnar Peterson called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” from Las Vegas (where he was watching two his clients, basketball stars Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love, prep for the Olympics) to talk about the Gunnar Challenge and the healthy way to lose weight.
The Gunnar Challenge
“The Gunnar Challenge is an 8 week challenge online that does daily workouts that I’ve put together on video. It has a daily blog that is obviously different everyday a little verbal vitamin, a motivator. As well as, a nutrition plan…nutrition is a key component to your getting in shape and getting the body you want. The one really cool thing I find about this program is that we have a 100,000+ food list that you can draw from and put your diet together so you can make exchanges and it tells you what works and what doesn’t in place of foods you may like less than others. Plus it gives you shopping lists, so you know how to shop and prepare your meals. You’re dialed in, there really are no more excuses it’s right there online.”
The Healthy Way To Lose Weight
Staff member Chris Martinez recently lost 36 pounds by drinking a lot of water and skipping dinner. is this a healthy way to lose weight? “The tons of water is great. The skipping dinner I’m not sure about that. I think tapering your food, if you think about your meals the biggest is breakfast, lunch is the middle one, and dinner should be smallest. That is the way to go. most of us do it the other way around. So, taper it off for dinner, that’s the way to go. I don’t think I would skip it entirely. The long period of time with no fuel in your body, no food, sends a bad signal that you’re not going to feed it and your body is going to try to survive at all costs. So, it’s going to start holding fat.”
