Hollywood was rocked by the tragic loss of Sylvester Stallone‘s 36-year-old son Sage on Friday. According to E! Online, the film director and producer was found dead at his home in Los Angeles. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Now his famous father is speaking out. The elder Stallone has released a statement to TMZ asking for privacy: “When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain,” said Stallone. “Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha.”

The actor continues saying, “This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory and soul left in peace.”
