E! News’s Ken Baker told Ryan this morning that “a local TV station reached the mother, apparently of the suspected gunman, and she seemed to indicate that she wasn’t surprised by this. It would be something that he could have done.”
According to ABC News when contacted at her home, just as reports began to surface, his mother responded: “You have the right person. I need to call the police… I need to fly out to Colorado.”
Baker also confirmed to Ryan that the Paris premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises” has been canceled and that the local theater chain in Colorado has been shut down as well.
“That local theater chain is saying that they are going to be, I believe it’s Cinemark, they are going to be shutting down their theaters for the time being, they haven’t disclosed for how long,” Baker said.
Warner Bros. has released a statement saying, “Warner Bros and the filmmakers are deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved one of the victims at this tragic time”
