Earlier in the week KTLA‘s Sam Rubin called in to “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” to give Ryan an update on the “Dark Knight” shooting. At the time they spoke one of the major questions on everyone’s mind was whether or not the film’s stars would be visiting the Colorado victims in the hospital.

Today that question was answered when Batman himself, Christian Bale, arrived the Medical Center of Aurora.

Bale surprised both patients and hospital staff, according to ABC News. He was there for close to two and a half hours.

According to ABC, The Denver Post interviewed the interim president of the center Bill Voloch who said, “It was good for the patients. We hope it was therapeutic for them, and all the staff really appreciated him coming.”
