On Planing Her Wedding:
Now that the Olympics are over Jessica can focus on the next big event in her life, her wedding. “We’re getting married next year…so I’ve got lots of planning to do, and dress shopping to do, and flowers to look up. So, that’s my next big plan coming up next year.”

On Being In The Spotlight:
The entire country woke up to Jessica’s abs on the front page of every newspaper after her win, so has the Olympic Champ gotten used to all the attention? “Not really. It still feels really surreal and it’s so strange to see myself on TV in ad campaigns, it’s very, very surreal, but a great position to be in. I’m just enjoying it and really making the most of it.”
On Being An Olympic Champion:
“It’s a really nice feeling, I’m still just in shock and can’t quit believe that I am an Olympic Champion. It’s a great position to be in and I’m very happy,” Jessica tells us. What did she tell herself during the competition? “I just told myself that this is the only opportunity that I’m going to have to compete at a home Olympic Games here in London. I just had to get all my energy together, and all my metal strength to make sure those jumps were right, and that they were where they needed to be. Thankfully, I was able to do that.”

How Did Jessica Celebrate After Her Win?
“I haven’t really properly celebrated yet, it’s just been a bit of whirlwind. I saw my family after and had a glass of champagne with them and shared my medal. It was really exciting just to see them and have that support in the stadium, and all my close friends and family there. So, it was really, really special.”
On Balancing Her Life:
“I definitely try to get that balance. I’m very lucky to be in the position that I am. Athletics used to be my hobby and now it’s my career, so I’m very fortunate. I’ve just got really great people around me, so I can have that balance of having a normal life, but also doing athletics and traveling and having some great experiences with that as well.”
