Singer Sean Kingston called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Tuesday to talk about his upcoming album Back 2 Life and his new 90s inspired tattoo.

On His Upcoming Album Back 2 Life:
“This album is real big for me. It’s a comeback album for me. I put a lot of work into it, a lot of effort. I got a lot of people on there. I got T.I., Shakira, Wiz Khalifa, Busta Rhymes. It’s just a lot of people on this album that came out to support me. It’s real big for me, because I’ve been away for about a good year and a half to two years. I think it’s time for me to make beautiful music for my fans again. I think everybody’s going to love it.”

On Working With Different Artists:
“The most features I did recently was with Nicki [Minaj] and Justin [Bieber]. I didn’t really do a lot of features in my career. Most of my hits have been done by myself. But I feel like now I’m getting older, I’m 22, there’s a lot of artists that I look up to. There’s a lot of artists I see my sound merging good with and we make good music together. So, why not call my homeboy Wiz Khalifa and say: ‘Yo, I need a verse on one of my songs?’ So, it’s kind of just taking everything to the next level.”

On His Tattoo:
“I got a new tattoo that the other day,” Sean tells us. So, what did he get? “I got the Mario Kart tattoo. I grew up on Mario, Mario was always my favorite game. I’m a 90s baby, so I had to get it as a classic tattoo.”

On Appreciating Life:
“I’ve been through so much. Especially with the accident and stuff, it just made me more humble, it made me realize that life could flash by your eyes like that. So, you really just got to take everything in and appreciate the little things.

Sean’s new album Back 2 Life is scheduled to drop in September.
