There has been a lot of hype over Bruno’s upcoming sophomore album and finally today we are getting a taste of it! “Locked Out of Heaven” will debut on December 11 during an exciting live chat on Google+, and fans can’t wait to hear what Bruno has to offer!

But what is Bruno most looking forward to with the release? The “Marry You” singer called into On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about the record.

“I think I’m most excited for my fans to hear my voice again. It’s been a while and I’ve been hibernating in the studio. I just can’t wait for them to hear the music that I’m doing these days,” Bruno says.

In case you didn’t know, “Locked Out of Heaven” was recorded in producer Mark Ronson‘s studio. You might recognize the name, because he is also responsible for several of Amy Winehouse‘s biggest hits. Speaking of collaborations, Bruno’s hook to the new song was created while he was jamming with Lenny Kravitz.

Holy name drop! A dash of Kravitz, a scoop of Ronson and a whole handful of Bruno sounds like the perfect recipe for a hit!

Titled “Cherry Wine,” the single was reportedly recorded in 2008 which Nas describes as an amazing experience. “It was just magical,” Nas said when describing the collaboration process with Amy. “It just happened. It was supposed to happen. She made it happen.”

The video is a time-lapse, with Michaelson sitting behind a plain background as a team of makeup artists quickly transform her into the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, David Bowie, KISS singer Gene Simmons, Madonna (circa her Marilyn Monroe phase), John Lennon and Amy Winehouse. At each completion of the makeover, Michaelson sings a line dressed as the artist.

The singer-songwriter chatted with Rolling Stone back in January and said, “‘Blood Brothers’ is admittedly a ‘We Are The World’ song. The third of four unreleased tracks entitled ‘Halftime’ has finally been released. Amy’s vocals float along to a simple melody as she sings about the ‘rhythm’ that ‘floods her heart.’ She sings, “The melody it feeds my soul/The tune it tears me apart/And it swallowed me whole/You should thank your lucky star/Cause the music is a gift/And it’s stronger than all else/Who guards me with a bliss.”

The video sets the mood for this love song, previously sung by Frank Sinatra. The two are placed in an intimate setting with two old fashioned microphones, low lighting, and they’re giving each other those longing eyes and flirty smiles. Tony remembers Amy and tells ABC News that, “She sang beautiful, and then, I just regretted that I wasn’t able to tell to slow down, and then she died. 27-years-old, she died. So the whole secret is to live long and enjoy your life.”
