Drew on the other hand has already been a dad for a few years, but how is he enjoying being an uncle? He told us: “That kid is one of the most adorable children I have ever seen in my entire life. It’s great because I know Nick and Vanessa are just over the moon happy in love with him. So, to be an uncle is a great feeling and the more Lachey’s we have the better.”

Drew also mentioned that so far he has been able to dodge diaper duty. But, now that his duties on “Dancing with the Stars” are done he is ready to be on call!

But it turns out it may be a blessing for Drew and his fans, as Drew’s brother Nick Lachey will also have some free time with the arrival of his adorable baby boy Camden with wife Vanessa Lachey.

With all this free time, the group is able to confirm that they are working on new music for the first time in 12 years! On Air with Ryan Seacrest pried into the life of Drew Lachey for details on this highly anticipated new project.

He had this to say: “We have about four songs right now that we’re waiting to record and from there we’ll decide whether we’re going to do a full length album or whether we’re going to do an EP. All those details have to be worked out still, but we are all very excited to be getting back in the studio and making music together again.”

Drew reminded us that they’re taking it slow, and aren’t committing to a release date, saying that we’ll hear something when the product they have is something they absolutely love. We’re going to love it no matter what, so we say, hurry it up Drew!

Nick Lachey may have denied a tour a couple months ago when he tweeted: “So psyched to see all the excitement for a 98 degree tour, but the only tour I’ll be doing this summer is at baby’s ‘r us!” But on Wednesday Nick and Drew Lachey called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to announce that 98 Degrees will be reuniting for one performance at the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hershey, PA. The two also chatted about fatherhood and the possibility of Drew being part of the “Dancing with the Stars” All-Star cast.

Summer Mixtape Festival:
98 Degrees will be reuniting for the first time in over a decade! “We’re very excited about the opportunity, and we’ve been toying around with the idea for a couple years of: ‘if we got back together, when would be the right scenario, and this music festival right here just kind of seemed like the right time to get back together and do a show and kick the tires and see how it feels,” Drew tells us.

Nick had this to say about his earlier tweet: “I didn’t say we weren’t going to do it, but there was some speculation about a full tour happening this summer and our fans have been kind of eager to see us get back together. I just wanted to make sure that they understood that a full tour wasn’t happening this summer, but obviously very excited to announce that we’re doing this big festival in Hershey in August. So, that will be our one and only appearance.”

On 98 Degrees Reuniting:
Nick says: “I think we’ve all been lucky in the 11 years since we last performed together to go on and do stuff individually. Drew was the winner of “Dancing with the Stars” season 2 and I’ve gone and done some solo stuff. But there really is nothing like coming together as a unit, as a group, as a band, on the stage, and I think we all miss that. We all miss the rush of being on stage together, performing together, and certainly the fans have kind of been clamoring for it, so it just felt right. We always said we were not broken up, we were just taking a break and now it just seemed like the right time to put everything back together.”

Will There Be A Full Tour?
“Let’s be honest, there’s nothing better for your ego than standing up on stage and having thousands of girls screaming for you. It does become kind of addictive and we always had a blast touring together and making music together, but we are 4 grown men now,” Drew says. “Most of us have families or kids on the way, so it really is about making sure that everybody can take care of their own responsibilities at home, and with their family, and with their private lives. If we can get together and do more that would be great. We’ve missed working with each other, performing together. So, we’re always open to that opportunity.”

On Fatherhood:
Nick’s wife Vanessa Minnello is pregnant their fist child. “I’m beyond excited,” Nick says. “I’ve watched Drew, he’s an amazing father. I’ve watched his family grow and I’ve been a proud uncle, but obviously, there’s nothing like having your own. So, I’m very excited to kind of join those ranks and start a family, it’s been a long time coming.” So does his brother Drew have any advice for him? The father of 2 had this to say: “My advice has been don’t listen to anybody’s advice. Every scenario is different, sleep now while you can, and basically just keep your head down and go full speed ahead. It’s going to change your life, but it’s the most amazing thing in the world.”

On ‘Dancing with the Stars’:
Being the season 2 champ, will Drew be coming back for the All-Star cast in September? “I don’t know. I think it’s happening in September, so I’m sure they’re a long way off from finalizing the cast. I don’t know if they’re going to bring back winners, whether it will be runners-up, I don’t know. It’s something I enjoyed doing, I had a blast doing it, I’d be open to doing it again, but I just don’t know how it’s all going to play out. We’ll have to wait and see,” he tells us.
