Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to chat about working with Elizabeth Banks, his venture into the fashion world and tweeting during the Oscars.

“Elizabeth and I have known each other for years and years and year. I did one of my first movies with her…I think it was one of her first films as well…She is great. It’s so much fun haven her on the show. Her episode is absolutely hilarious. it’s fantastic.” Elizabeth’s episode airs tonight at 9/8c on ABC.

So, it’s really great. Also, I never wore bow ties outside of the Emmys or the Golden Globes, or the SAG Awards, or what have you…guys don’t get to have the fun the ladies do on the carpet. But Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie Trinket, isn’t exactly dying to put her wardrobe back on when they shoot the sequel “Catching Fire.”

“My costumes are all torture,” she admits. In fact, when asked to pick her favorite look from the film she replied, “It’s the one from when we’re watching the result show..the big, green dress with poufy sleeves. I love that outfit, because it was the most comfortable.”

With “The Hunger Games” hitting theaters next month, the movie’s cast are hitting up press junkets to give exclusive insights into the world of this sci-fi drama.

Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie Trinkett, remembers there were some intense days of shooting the movie. Although she admits that the Reaping scene was incredible to shoot, the weather was just way too hot. Temperatures hit 105 degrees for a couple of days.

Banks tells MTV News, “We had all these young kids there dropping like flies. It was madness, and it’s also the only time we spend in District 12.”

“The 40 Year Old Virgin” starlet can’t wait for the movie to come out. She shares which scenes from the movie she cannot wait to see on the silver screen.

“I have not seen much of the arena, so I’m excited to see the actual Games. It’s very emotional. We really become very attached to the characters, even Cato and Thresh, kind of the bad guys of the book. We really are attached to everybody’s journey, and so I’m really excited to see how that all plays out,” says Banks.
