Jesse revealed to On Air with Ryan Seacrest: “The tour is coming together pretty quickly, but I’m going to have some new material that I’ll be performing.”

Jesse McCartney Says Upcoming Album Will Be a ‘Slice of Life‘

Along with preparing to perform new material, the Army Wives actor added there will also be “probably a single by that point and then the album will probably come shortly thereafter the big tour.”

In a World Like This kicks off on August 2 in Chicago and runs through September 8 in San Francisco.

Legendary boy band Backstreet Boys are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a brand new tour, In a World Like This, which kicks off on August 2 in Chicago.

“Backstreet Boys are going on tour this summer,” reveals Nick Carter. “That’s right, baby! All five of us are back together. It’s our 20th anniversary tour. We’ve got a brand new album coming out.”

Jesse’s manager later clarified that the song had been leaked online, but rather than fight the inevitable, she encouraged fans to share it. Soon Jesse himself posted a link to the song and supporters rejoiced—finally they had some new music after four long years of waiting.

Many have commented on how the song reminds them of “Beautiful Soul,” the debut track that rocketed Jesse to stardom in 2004.

The lyrics seem softer than that of his last album, Departure, and mark a return to the romantic love song genre that made him a household name.

Though “Leavin’” from that album was arguably his hottest hit, reaching number one on the charts in 2008, returning to a sound like “Beautiful Soul” may not necessarily be a bad thing. What do you think? You can listen to the song below.

In the video below, you can see the pair walking hand in hand back to his car. Strangely enough, the blonde beauty looks a lot like a younger version of his recent ex-girlfriend Eden Sassoon, the daughter of famed hairdresser Vidal Sassoon. The two were last spotted at the Hollywood premiere of Jesse’s film, “Chernobyl Diaries” back in May.

But that wasn’t the only case of an unknown identity. One excited fan accidentally mistook Jesse for pop sensation Justin Bieber.

Jesse is currently in the studio working on his fourth album and has a new movie in the works as well. Arguably, Jesse McCartney never really left the music scene after the success of his single “Leavin’,” which hit number one in 2008, but the multi-platinum recording artist has not released an album in four years, and fans are getting anxious.

In late 2010, “E! News” correspondent Ken Baker went behind the scenes of McCartney’s music video for his song, “Shake,” set to be the first single off his anticipated fourth studio album, Have It All. However, the song didn’t do well on the radio and the year came and went without any sign of an album release.

Now that’s all set to change according to McCartney, who promised fans on Twitter that the wait would be over soon enough:

On the social networking site, “Keek,” McCartney posted a video of himself in the studio, teasing a possible new track for his fans.

But that’s not all for the singer/actor, who has also recently starred in the film “Chernobyl Diaries,” directed by Oren Peli. McCartney has scored a prime gig hosting the first annual Alive New York award show and benefit. Boasting itself as one of the largest celebrity award shows of the year, the two day event will serve as a charity fundraiser to raise money for various health and wellness organizations.
