The final round this week was Kris, David Cook, and Scotty McCreery … and Kris edged them out by a landslide with nearly 60% of the vote, which translated to just over 59,000 votes.

‘Idol’ Alum Kris Allen Was Rooting For Jessica Sanchez This Season

We asked Kris how a guy’s single became part of the female mix. He told us: “We’ve had this little ‘Girl Pop Medley’ for awhile, then we were practicing it in the bathroom and ‘Boyfriend’ just happened to come out and now it has become part of the ‘Not So Girl Pop Medley Anymore.’” The “bathroom” Kris mentions is our very own men’s room, where stars apparently get inspired!

Season 8 “American Idol” winner Kris Allen performed his new single “The Vision of Love” off his upcoming album Thank You Camellia. Singing on a spinning piano, we were reminded once again why audiences fell in love with him in the first place.

In the bottom three this week were Elise Testone, Colton Dixon and Hollie Cavanagh. The audience gasped in shock when Ryan Seacrest announced Colton would be going home. When asked why he felt he was leaving the show Colton replied; “You know, I need to apologize. I wasn’t myself last night and I get it. I appreciate what you told me last night and I’ll take that when I’m making a record.”
