What’s better than hearing Pharrell and Daft Punk‘s new song “Get Lucky” live for the first time? How about hearing it three times in a row!

Pharrell repeatedly performed the track at the HTC One launch event in Brooklyn over the weekend minus the French music duo. After the first time, he announced, “You know we gotta do it again,” before starting up again.

“Get Lucky” was released last Friday after being teased all over the web and it even broke a single-day streaming record on Spotify. It’s the first single off of Daft Punk’s new album, Random Access Memories, out May 21.

Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams are the latest stars rumored to be in talks to join the “American Idol” judging panel. An insider told US Weekly that Nick is pretty close to signing. “Idol” flew him into Los Angeles last week for final meetings.

As for Pharrell official progress the source adds, “Everything is looking good, but they’re still working out details.” FOX reps will not comment on the story. Country star Brad Paisley was also recently reported to be in the running for a spot on the panel. So far, it’s Mariah Carey…who will be the others?

There has been a lot of buzz online that Pharrell Williams has been working with Jay-Z on Watch The Throne 2. Well, the rapper/producer confirmed that this was not true when he called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Friday.

On Justin Bieber:
“I think he is super talented. His vocal range and what he’s able to do with his voice is amazing. He’s really a professional that kid,” he says. “It’s all about the music, because that is what’s gotten him here. It’s what gets him through the day, his voice. He is really focused on just having a great voice that people look at and go, ‘Wow, that kid can really sing.’ His chops are amazing.”

On Usher’s New Album:
“Usher and I were working in the studio, Usher’s new album is incredible,” he says. Although, not sure of the release date Pharrell says, “I’m sure he is going to do it a little bit later this year, but his album is incredible.”

On Doing The Music For The Academy Awards:
“It’s been awesome. As a child growing up you look at the Academy Awards as the most prestigious event on television. ! can’t believe that I am actually contributing to people’s experience,” he says. “There is about 120 to 140 different pieces of music and some of that is original as well. It’s a whole big comprehensive process that, again I am honored, because Brian Grazer and Hans Zimmer brought me into the fold.”

The 84th Academy Awards airs Sunday, February 26th on ABC at 7e/4p.
